Science Fiction

Science Fiction is fiction in which fictional science plays a major part. It is divided into hard science fiction, which starts from real science, and writes a work of fiction. In reality, hard science fiction can become just fiction if the fictional science proves to be actually true. (Hard science fiction may not become fiction because fictional science might not be, in fact, true.)

The second division is soft science fiction, which is all other science fiction. This arm of science fiction can border on fantasy. That is, fantasy differs from science fiction in that it cannot be true. That is, known science is violated. Soft science fiction doesn't violate known science, even if it might wonder quite far afield.

Soft Science fiction can be divided into space cowboys and other. Space cowboys is science fiction that exist for the action, and not primarily for the science. Examples are the Star Wars series, and, in fact, most popular science fiction.\

Personally, I prefer hard science fiction, but that is not very popular, and is, therefore, not common.
